Lovely Beate! How did you manage to get so close vertically? Were you up on a ladder?!
No. This nest is not too high up and is a natural nest in a tree, not one of those on a platform which tend to be higher. The other nest I am watching is on a platform and that presented the problem last year when they did have a chick. I was hardly able to see it. Hopefully this one will have some this year – fingers crossed.
