Nik HDR Efex Pro

November 10, 2010

I recently purchased the complete edition of the Nik Software which also included their new Nik HDR Efex Pro. On my visit to Mr. Rainier the beginning of August I had made three different exposures of this image at Reflection Lake. The perfect opportunity to give this software a try. I have never used any HDR software before but I must say that this one seemed very easy to use and yields a very realistic image.

Holy smokes, that is realistic, I’ve been using Photomatix for years but this looks awesome… Downloading a demo now..

This is really nice image, the software looks like it gives impressive results although a few more details, like how far apart the exposures were would add to the info. Good to hear it is very intuitive also, I’ve been looking at the Nik plugin suite myself, Yet to push the button on it though.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Ed, I used three images all 1 f stop apart. If, at the time I took the picture. already had this software I probably would have taken a couple more pictures.
